Never really been disappointed by Axil, I have been coming here for a few years. Good coffee, good food, good atmosphere.
On this occasion I had house smoke ocean trout on a bed of pickled vegetables, kale and potato rosti, topped with a poached egg – yum, always a fan of trout and salmon. Finished the meal off a treat of a cute arrangement of Turkish delight and a strawberry macaron with white chocolate cream.
Coffee was a single origin from Guatemala, went well with milk.
